The session addressed the issue of empowerment of older persons as an important prerequisite for a policy approach to improving the quality of life of older persons and integrating them into society. The materials of the lecture were linked to the conceptual narratives and specific recommendations of the major international policy frameworks on ageing, including the Madrid International Plan of Action on Ageing (MIPAA). This final session to INIA’s Webinar Series 2020, was delivered by Dr Alexandre Sidorenko (European Centre for Social Welfare Policy & Research, Vienna).
