On 3o April, INIA organized a training programme titled “Active Ageing, Geriatrics & Dementia Care in Care Homes for Older Persons” at Casa Paola in Raħal Ġdid, Malta. The event was inaugurated by Rosette Farrugia-Bonello, INIA’s Deputy Director, and Cathrine Xuereb, Care Home Manager at Casa Paola.

The programme featured several key sessions. Dr. Maria Bonnici delivered a lecture on “Geriatric Healthcare for Older Persons Living in Care Homes,” followed by two sessions on “Dementia Care Issues” and “Active Ageing in Care Homes for Older Persons” presented by Rosette Farrugia-Bonello.

The event concluded with the presentation of certificates to the participants, primarily carers and nurses working at Casa Paola.
