Professor Marvin Formosa was invited as a panel speaker during the Human Rights Institution (HRI) 2020 Conference on the Rights of Older Persons. This conference was hosted by the National Human Rights Commission of Korea (NHRCK) and was held virtually on 7 December 2020. The conference was organised in collaboration with the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (ECOSOC), Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights, Global Alliance of National Human Rights Institutions and Permanent Mission of the Argentine Republic to the United Nations.

During this conference, Prof Marvin Formosa, Director INIA, was one of the speakers for session 3 and delivered a presentation on: ‘Social protection & social security in Malta: Human rights to economic, social & cultural participation do not become obsolete with ageing’.
