INIA’s Deputy Director Rosette Farrugia-Bonello was invited to attend the 10th International Conference of Gerontological network AgeNet International, with the theme “From needs assessment to development of active ageing policies in the countries of member organisations of AgeNet International”, held in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. The conference was held between 1-2 November 2023 and organised by the Public Association Resource Centre for Elderly in partnership with the Ministry of Labour, Social Security and Migration of the Kyrgyz Republic with the support of the United Nations Population Fund in Kyrgyzstan. The aim of the conference was the effective implementation of active ageing policies in the member states of the international network AgeNet International. Rosette Farrugia-Bonello spoke on ‘Active Ageing and Longevity’ and later led a master class addressing  ‘Active Ageing: Opportunities and Barriers’.The conference was attended by 100 professionals working in the field of ageing, hailing from 13 different countries.
