INIA, in collaboration with the Middle East Academy for Medicine of Ageing and the Middle East & North Africa Association on Ageing & Alzheimer’s, is thrilled to announce the Second Postgraduate Course in Dementia Care, scheduled for Feb/March 2024.
This comprehensive course is tailored for health and allied care practitioners, including physicians, nurses, social workers, psychologists, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and healthcare officers. The diploma consists of four sessions encompassing 10 modules. The content is meticulously curated to enhance scientific, clinical, educational, and managerial competencies in dementia care.
The second session will be conducted online and is set to take place on Feb 29th and March 1st, 2024.
This session, which will run under the theme “Overview of Dementia: Diagnosis & Management,” will cover essential topics such as:
Module 3: Diagnosing Dementia
– Cognitive assessment and Screening
– Use of Electronic Medical Records & Digital Instruments for screening
– The WHO’s mhGAP Dementia module
Module 4: Medical Treatment of Dementia: Current & Future
Module 5: Managing Dementia Common Medical Conditions
