Event Description

The International Institute on Ageing United Nations-Malta, has once again joined forces with SilverAge, Sri Lanka in organising the 4th International Conference on Active and Healthy Ageing, which was successfully held via hybrid platform. The conference featured keynote speeches, panel discussions, oral and poster presentations on various topics related to ageing and health. The conference also provided networking opportunities for the participants from different countries and disciplines. INIA organised a workshop on The challenges and opportunities of Population Ageing, which was moderated by Rosette Farrugia-Bonello, INIA’s Deputy Director. Taking part in the workshop were Datin Jacqueline WM Wong, Brunei; Dr. Shiromi Maduwage, Sri Lanka; Dr. Alexander Sidorenko, Austria; and Femada Shamam, South Africa. Participants from various countries including the Netherlands, Australia, India, Macau, Hong Kong, China, and Sri Lanka brought a range of diverse ideas to the table, leading to many productive conversations.
