INIA’s Director Prof. Marvin Formosa, accompanied by Deputy Director Rosette Farrugia-Bonello and INIA’s expert Prof. Charles Scerri visited Aerospace Intelligent (Hainan) Technology Company Ltd., (AIT, Hainan), China. This company focuses on the transformation of aerospace IT technology to health section, senior care, agriculture, and security, amongst others. It is also one of the main supporters of the Hainan Military Retiree Association.  Over the past years, AIT (Hainan) has also placed particular attention on collaborations relating to Artificial Intelligence (AI) Senior Care technology, such as the nursing Robot, and ChatGPT. Lately, the company has been working on opening senior care homes in Xinjiang province and Chongqing City. It was an honour for INIA to sign a two-year Memorandum of understanding agreement with AIT (Hainan), whereby INIA will be collaborating by training personnel from AIT (Hainan), NGOs’ and enterprises on ageing so as to improve the capabilities of professional personnel working in the field of ageing care. Other collaborations will be on research and in the exchange of information on ageing and dementia care.
